Role: Python and Kubernetes Specialist Engineer (Data, AI/ML, Analytics)
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on end-to-end data analytics and MLOps solutions using open-source tools like Kubeflow, MLFlow, DVC, Feast.
- Work on workflow, ETL, data governance, visualization (Apache SuperSet, dbt, Temporal), data warehouse solutions (Apache Trino, ClickHouse).
- Own analytics and ML solutions and integrate with other teams.
- Deploy solutions on servers, cloud, Kubernetes, desktops, or as web services.
Team & Collaboration:
- Distributed teams working across time zones.
- Engage proactively with engineers, designers, and product managers.
- Interact with upstream communities and participate in public forums.
Daily Activities:
- Develop knowledge of Linux stack from kernel to application.
- Design and maintain solutions on cloud and local systems.
- Explore distributed systems concepts like observability and tracing.
- Work with Kubernetes and open-source applications.
- Brainstorm and contribute ideas.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience with Python in a professional or academic setting.
- Strong academic background.
- Degree in technical field or equivalent experience.
- Effective communicator in English.
- Familiarity with Linux (Debian, Ubuntu preferred).
- Interpersonal, curious, flexible, responsible.
- Open to travel twice a year.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ML libraries and automation.
- Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Open source contributions.
