Summary
We are seeking top-tier researchers to join our growing Software Controls and Optimization team at GE Aerospace Research. Our focus is on innovation and executing R&D strategies across various challenges such as building predictive/prescriptive analytics, improving process efficiencies, engine fault detection, and designing inspection solutions for aircraft engines.

Essential Responsibilities
As a Lead Research Engineer – Machine Learning, you will:
- Develop and apply advanced technology solutions using modeling, optimization, estimation, or detection technologies, leveraging AI/ML to enhance physics-based understanding.
- Validate solutions through simulations and application on target products, aiming to mature technology for transfer to GE business units.
- Document technology advances via patents, reports, and publications.
- Stay updated with technological advances to inspire new ideas and applications.
- Collaborate across teams within GE Aerospace Research and related business units.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational Background:
- Doctorate in Engineering with 3+ years experience or
- Master’s in Engineering with 7+ years experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Data analytics, optimization, estimation, detection algorithms.
- Proficiency in Python or Matlab, familiarity with C & C++.
- Experience in developing solutions for complex physical systems.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams and execute large projects.

- Experience in digital product development for aerospace applications.
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with robust modeling techniques.
- Skills with NPSS for aerospace.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
