Summary

A newly-funded seed startup (valuation over $100M) is seeking to hire a Founding AI Engineer.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of industry experience as a Back-End/Infra/ML Ops Engineer
• At least 1+ years of hands-on engineering experience in Generative AI production environments such as:
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Few-shot learning
  • Fine tuning
  • Prompt tuning
  • Agentic workflows
  • LLM evaluations

Core Responsibilities

• Applying LLMs as reasoning engines for domain-specific problems to deliver value
• Evaluating and improving the accuracy and latency of AI agents
• Creating and enhancing prompts following best practices
• Building systems that facilitate data passing between LLMs and databases
• Optimizing LLM call spend and performance
