Job Description
We are seeking a Cybersecurity AI Engineer to join the Cybersecurity Automation & AI team within our Cybersecurity Engineering organization. This is a senior specialist role responsible for applying machine learning (ML) and data engineering to solve complex, high-impact security problems across our enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement machine learning systems and pipelines to automate security intelligence, prioritization, and response.
- Operationalize ML models across enterprise-scale platforms such as Defender XDR, Sentinel, ServiceNow.
- Build APIs, logic layers, and model wrappers for integrating scoring and risk signals into real-time workflows.
- Transform data science prototypes into production-grade software components.
- Collaborate with security automation engineers to embed ML outputs into automation and decision-making frameworks.
- Leverage telemetry from sources like ADX, Databricks, and native platform feeds.
- Translate security engineering problems into ML/AI solutions with measurable outcomes.
- Stay current with cyber threats, AI techniques, and telemetry platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years experience in delivering ML/AI systems in production, with strong Python skills.
- Understanding of ML model deployment, APIs, pipeline orchestration, system integration.
- Experience with security telemetry and platforms like Sentinel, Defender XDR, ServiceNow.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and excellent communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with threat detection, alert enrichment, triage automation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft security tools, ITSM, identity systems.
- Understanding of risk frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, CVSS.
- Familiarity with MLOps.
About the Role
This role is pivotal in transforming cybersecurity operations by embedding AI and data science within enterprise security platforms. You will serve as a technical bridge between data science, engineering, and security platforms.
Work Environment & Benefits
- Hybrid work model (3 days on-site in the US, Fridays remote).
- Salary range: $114,700 - $180,500.
