Job Description
We are seeking a Cybersecurity AI Engineer to join the Cybersecurity Automation & AI team within our Cybersecurity Engineering organization. This senior specialist role focuses on applying machine learning and data engineering to solve complex security problems across our enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement machine learning systems and pipelines for security intelligence automation.
- Operationalize ML models on platforms such as Microsoft Defender XDR, Sentinel, and ServiceNow.
- Build APIs, logic layers, and model wrappers to integrate scoring and risk signals into security workflows.
- Convert data science prototypes into production-grade software components.
- Collaborate with automation engineers to embed ML outputs.
- Use telemetry from sources like ADX, Databricks, and native platform feeds to generate insights.
- Convert security problems into ML/AI solutions with measurable outcomes.
- Stay updated on cyber threats, AI techniques, and telemetry platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years experience in ML/AI systems in production, proficient in Python.
- Deep knowledge of ML deployment, APIs, pipelines, and system integration.
- Experience with cybersecurity telemetry and platforms like Sentinel, Defender XDR, ServiceNow, etc.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate ML decisions effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with threat detection, alert enrichment, triage automation, or telemetry.
- Familiarity with Microsoft security tech, ITSM, or identity systems.
- Knowledge of risk frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and CVSS.
- MLOps best practices and governance.
About the Role
This position is instrumental in embedding AI and data science into enterprise security platforms, acting as a bridge between data science, engineering, and security operations. It is a cybersecurity engineering role focused on automation, integrating various tools to reduce risk.
Additional Information
- Location & Work Model: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote)
- Salary Range: $114,700 - $180,500
