Role Overview
As our AI Engineer, you’ll develop core components that enable advanced document processing, data extraction, and intelligent automation. You’ll collaborate closely with the engineering team to deliver fast, accurate, and intuitive solutions for businesses leveraging AI in their operations.
Responsibilities
- Model Development:
- Use cutting-edge NLP and LLM technologies (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, LangGraph)
- Design and implement intelligent agents and multi-step workflows
- Power tasks like document understanding, data extraction, content classification, and summarization
- Database Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Data modeling, schema design, performance, and scalability optimization
- Collaboration & Deployment:
- Work with backend and DevOps engineers
- Design seamless data pipelines
- Ensure scalable deployment of AI/ML models
- Feature Innovation:
- Stay updated on NLP/LLM research
- Propose and implement new ideas
- Performance & Quality:
- Conduct experiments and analyze model performance
- Improve accuracy and efficiency
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with product management, front-end, and customer-facing teams
- Translate business needs into AI solutions
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related fields (or equivalent experience)
Technical Expertise
- Experience building agent-based systems, using frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph
- Skilled in creating structured workflows, decision graphs, and coordination logic
- Working knowledge of Python and TypeScript
- Solid understanding of NLP techniques, transformer architectures, and large language models
Hands-On Experience
- Building and deploying AI models in real-world applications
- Handling unstructured text data at scale
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to turn concepts into solutions
Additional Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with business process automation tools
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
