About the Role
We are seeking a Research Scientist to join our AI research team. The ideal candidate has extensive expertise in multi-modal retrieval systems and foundational vision-language models. This role involves pioneering research in data curation, model training, fine-tuning, alignment, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct cutting-edge research on multi-modal retrieval systems, including text, image, video, and structured data interactions.
- Design and develop multi-modal foundation models focusing on:
- Data curation
- Pre-training
- Fine-tuning
- Alignment
- Evaluation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research innovations into production solutions.
- Publish findings in top-tier conferences and journals such as NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, ACL.
- Stay updated on latest AI/ML advancements.
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, ML, AI, or related field.
- Deep expertise in multi-modal retrieval systems and vision-language models.
- Research experience in:
- Data curation (large-scale multi-modal datasets)
- Pre-training (scalable foundation models)
- Fine-tuning (adapting models for tasks)
- Alignment (RLHF, contrastive learning, prompt tuning)
- Evaluation (benchmarking and performance optimization)
- Hands-on experience with large-scale training pipelines and distributed frameworks.
- Proficiency in deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX.
- Strong Python coding skills and familiarity with scalable environments (GPUs, TPUs, distributed systems).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with contrastive learning, self-supervised learning, cross-modal embeddings.
- Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
- Knowledge of vision-language models and their applications.
- Strong publication record.
- Experience deploying research into production.

Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base salary: $195,000 - $287,500
