About the Role
The AI Engineer, L/S will be an integral part of Point72's Discretionary Equity business, focusing on leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to generate insights and improve investment performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities and develop technological roadmaps for AI solutions.
- Scope, prototype, and deploy AI projects across both on-premises and AWS environments.
- Collaborate with teams across the firm on AI/ML initiatives.
- Deliver analytics and insights to evaluate the value of solutions.
- Work with various departments to contribute to the firm's AI strategy.
- Establish rigorous model governance, including testing, monitoring, and documentation.
- Keep abreast of AI/ML market trends and technological innovations.
Technologies & Languages
- Technologies: Kafka, Spark, Cloud warehouses, Data Lakes, AWS environments
- Programming Languages: Java, Python, SQL
Qualifications
- Min 5+ years of professional experience in AI/ML
- Proven success leveraging AI/ML for financial or related fields
- Experience in model development, selection, and fine-tuning
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
