Role: AI Engineer/Architect
We are seeking a hands-on AI Engineer/Architect to drive the design, development, and implementation of GenAI solutions. This role involves building, coding, integrating, optimizing, and leading projects involving LLMs, APIs, and AI pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Build and integrate AI solutions using LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Anthropic, Mistral). Hands-on development required.
- Shape LLM behaviors via prompt engineering, guardrail development, and fine-tuning.
- Design and build scalable APIs (e.g., FastAPI, Flask) for AI-driven features.
- Lead performance tuning and ensure system scalability across mobile and cloud platforms.
- Implement GenAI Safety Best Practices focusing on hallucination mitigation and secure model usage.
- Estimate and optimize costs for large-scale cloud LLM operations (~$10-20M/year).
- Communicate AI strategies effectively to legal, compliance, quality, and executive teams.
- Drive tactical execution of AI initiatives across multiple products.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years or Master's Degree with 7+ years of software architecture experience.
- 4-8 years of hands-on experience developing AI/LLM architectures.
- Strong Python skills for API development and LLM integration.
- Deep experience with cloud-based LLMs.
- Proficiency in AI application testing and debugging.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to design for cost efficiency and scalability.
- Strategic thinking with a focus on innovation and business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing GenAI agents and LLM meshes.
- Background in enterprise architecture or scaling AI solutions.
- Experience in regulated industries like healthcare, life sciences, or finance.
Compensation
- Base Pay Range: $111,300 - $222,700.
