Principal Engineer - Enterprise Applications & AI (Director)
Location: NYC / Dallas, TX / Chicago, IL
Hybrid Work: 3 days in-office per week
Salary Range: $250,000 to $400,000 per annum
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Principal AI Engineer at Newmark. This leadership role involves driving the vision, strategy, and implementation of enterprise-grade AI and machine learning solutions.
You will collaborate with application architects, domain experts, data scientists, and product leaders to design, develop, and scale AI systems that boost business value and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and implement a comprehensive AI vision and strategy to foster innovation and accelerate adoption.
- Enterprise AI Solutions: Architect and deliver scalable AI pipelines covering the full lifecycle from development to monitoring.
- Advanced AI Development: Lead fine-tuning and deployment of foundation models like LLMs, vision, multi-modal models, and intelligent agents.
- Platform and Infrastructure Development: Establish robust data and AI platforms for rapid iteration and adoption.
- AI Technology Evaluation: Select optimal SaaS products and platforms to enhance development and scalability.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience leading enterprise AI initiatives and transformations.
- Expertise in advanced machine learning and AI methodologies, including optimization, forecasting, and simulation.
- Proficiency in managing full lifecycle MLOps (Model deployment, monitoring, lifecycle management).
- Strong knowledge of foundation models, LangChain/LLMOps, and customizing large-scale language/multimodal models.
- Hands-on experience with cloud AI infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Expert-level proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Ability to optimize AI workflows, data pipelines, and platforms for efficiency and scalability.
