Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 15+ years proven experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Leader, or similar technical or engineering role in software and/or AI
- Deep understanding of Generative AI, AI platforms for engineers, and consulting/professional services
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail
- Experience using machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), experience with Python and multiple libraries (NumPy, OpenCV, Scikit-learn, Pandas, etc.)
- Experience with DevOps tools: Docker, Git (GitLab, GitHub), CI/CD pipelines

Job Overview

The Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) seeks a high-energy professional with expertise in software engineering, AI, and machine learning to develop AI solutions and products for commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical expert supporting the Astris AI sales team and the LAIC AI Foundations team
- Translate client business challenges into technical solutions via system architecture
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and technical discussions
- Develop tailored AI solutions based on client needs
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences including CIOs and CTOs
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations
- Prepare technical proposals and documentation
- Stay updated with AI technology advancements
- Relay client feedback to technical teams
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship
- Lead major technical development efforts and develop new system architectures
